About Us
A better way to play
I am a PC gamer, and this product (and our brand) is geared towards making a better user gaming experience.
Australian designed
Globally market tested
Made for you, the player
What we make
This, our first product, is our solution to the centre space problem for our gaming controls:
We need to use our mouse and keyboard right in front of us, but when we want our joystick and throttle (and control pannel, and tablet) OR driving wheel and shifter (and hand brake) we want those front-and centre too.
The Desk, the Chair and the Controllers
Our setup -desk, chair and controllers - is almost unique to each gamer.
No-one is going to have exactly the same setup, and so everyone has a combination of issues that have to be overcome.
Limited space? What do you give up to fit everything?
Desk too high? or Chair too low? How do you manage those issues?
Have arms on the chair? How do you move close to the desk?
Controllers have suction cup feet or a clamp? How do you anchor yours to stop the movement of the controllers when in use?
OR avoid anchoring controllers and and keep your keyboard and mouse somewhere nearby?
And that is before you even look at your own individual height/reach etc
What I tried
Even for games that just need just the one control set - where I did not have to swap from Keyboard/Mouse to Flight controls rapidly - it was a pain to have to anchor the HOTAS in front of me before I used it.
I still had to use the keyboard and mouse from time to time, and I was always reaching past the anchored controls to do that.
I looked at the below desk mounts for the HOTAS and hated it
Having a chair with arms meant I was always removed from the desks edge.
So I was either using my controls with my arms forward and out to the side, or I was typing at the keyboard with arms stretched forward.
Chair mounts for the HOTAS I saw would cause the same issue, so I never went for those - It also looked like a trip hazard with the cabling.
The Driving wheel was worse.
I didnt want to run a dedicated sim rig - which actually looked like it still had SOME of the centre space problem issues, they just had a keyboard tray that was off the the side, and anyway I did not have the space or inclination for that - I just wanted to use MY desk, and MY chair with MY controllers MY way
My solution:
I could see we would start having games that would need to swap the controls from 1st or 3rd Person view to Vehicle/SIM - Sq42/SC and E:D showed how much this would really ramp up - I dont think that those titles will be the end of it - and I am REALLY excited for that!
I WANT that kind of complexity and immersion.
I WANT to play those games with an easy way to swap between game activities.
A desk alone will not provide the solution
The current market solutions for mounting controls did not wow me, and I think they had some really big draw-backs
I wanted a way to anchor the controls, but also allow for quick exchange of those controls
The solution:
- Provide a new surface and edge of the desk, and then allow it to move or be locked in place
- Provide a surface that was ferro-magnetic, and shielded feet for the controllers (magnetically fixed to the moving surface with no magnetic activity directed towards the controllers)
And now, after more than 6 years of development - a few redesigns, and more than a few hurdles along the way - I am pleased to present:
The PROTEAN SPACE
The first Transformer Gaming Setup
What is next?
Once our initial launch is underway (we are still doing early marketing at this stage) (comment 01/01/2026) I have some other ideas I want to bring to market that will be for PC gamers and non-gamers alike. More to come on that one later :)
Thank you for any and all that support us during this launch phase, and we hope that this (and our future) releases will be something you see value in!
